The residents of FOX's "Paradise Hotel," reality television's favorite denizens of debauchery (at least until "Big Brother" starts) will get a surprise visitor this week. Rather than dropping in a sexy Hollywood single-about-town (imagine the semi-sexy-singles trying to deal with party girl Tara Reid or wannabe Rat Packer Aston Kutcher), the secret guest is a figure from one of their pasts.

On Wednesday (July 9), Amanda's oft-discussed never-seen ex-boyfriend Jason will make a cameo appearance on a special 90 minute episode which FOX assures us will leave everybody shaken.

From the show's beginning, Amanda, a 22-year-old resort concierge from Miami, has been the show's voluble emotional center. Though she instantly bonded with a 21-year-old Arizona DJ, by the beginning of next week's episode, Amanda will have hooked up with two of the other men of "Paradise." The brunette has prompted several fierce fights and has spent entirely too much of her time in tears.

One of the show's truth-telling games also produced the revelation that when she tires of relationships, Amanda tends to cheat, rather than simply sever ties.

There have been several mentions of Jason, the boyfriend she loved and apparently still pines for. Well, Jason's been watching from home and he's not so pleased. So this Wednesday, he's going to show up and issue an ultimatum which could change everything.

The special "Paradise Hotel" airs Wednesday, July 9 at 8:30 p.m. ET.
